January: Lunch & Learn Presentation by Lucy Hale at the Trinity River Audubon Center. WE will be spending 2017 examining the important role of the Trinity River. Thursday, January 26, 11:30 a.m. @ Trinity River Audubon Center, 6500 Great Trinity Forest Way, Dallas, TX 75217.
March: Join WE for our Trinity River Expedition on Saturday, March 25 starting at 9:45 a.m. as we explore the Great Trinity Forest by canoe. Led by Charles Allen with Trinity River Expeditions, tour is expected to last until 3:30 p.m. Trinity River, 1-45 and Loop 12, Dallas, TX 75217.
May: Lunch & Learn with the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District. Continuing WE’s year of water, we will discuss the importance of groundwater conservation, understanding aquifers, and recreation opportunities on the Trinity. Wednesday, May 31 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Trinity Park Pavilion #3 – 2401 University Drive, Fort Worth 76107.
August: Annual Networking Breakfast – Thursday, August 24, 8:30am to 10:30am, Bessie Mitchell House at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens, 411 Ball St., Grapevine, TX 76051.
September: Lunch & Learn with the US Army Corps of Engineers, and take a tour of the Lake Lewisville Dam! Wednesday, Sept. 27 11:00am – 1:00pm. $20 for WE Members, $30 for Non-Members.
November: Join WE as we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season! Wednesday, November 8 from 5pm to 7:30pm, Oldfield Building – Lobby, 1101 S. Broadway, Downtown Carrollton, 75006.
2017: Special focus will be on the Trinity River Basin with several meetings during the year to cover topics related to the river.

Friend? Foe? The Trinity River has shaped the history of North Central Texas as well as all the area downstream to the Gulf.
WE are focusing this year’s programs in learning more about that history and the new visions developing for this critical lifeline for half of the state’s population living within its watershed.
