The North Central Texas Region’s first annual Solid Waste Management Symposium is being presented by Women in the Environment, an advocacy organization committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Managing landfill space, protecting the land, water and air—it’s all about awareness, collaboration and partnerships.

Annual Chocolate and Wine Reception – November 2021

Each year, WE hosts a Chocolate and Wine Event, and some of the best networking happens! Old friends meet up and new friendships begin. 

Everyone is welcome, just bring a bottle of wine and your favorite chocolate to share! 

Women Who Followed Their Passion – October 2021

Influential women spoke about becoming agents of change and champions of the environmental and sustainability movement in the Dallas Metropolitan area. Included lunch and a chance to explore The Dallas College Native Plant and Pollinator Windmill Garden.

Bat World Workshop – September 2021

Why save bats?? WE had an educational workshop with Kate Rugroden from the Bat World Sanctuary. We had a wonderful time enjoying snacks, white sangria, and learned about our local bat population. 

Bat World MidCities, an official Bat World Sanctuary Rescue Center, rescues hundreds of bats every year who might otherwise die. Lifetime sanctuary is given to non-releasable bats, including those that are orphaned, injured, or elderly.
