Linda Pavlik, a strategic communications consultant and president of the Women in the Environment’s Board of Directors, has been named to the Resource Conservation Council (RCC), a regional solid waste advisory committee working with the North Central Texas Council of Governments. Its 30 committee members include individuals from local governments, the private sector, and environmental and public interest groups. Focus areas include economic and environmental areas of stewardship. The RCC provides support and advice to the agency’s environmental and solid waste departments about methods to conserve, recover, and recycle valuable resources as well as to provide proper handling and disposal of non-recoverable waste materials.
